Answer:

(4x - 33)(x - 1) \\

Step-by-step explanation:

let \: x - 2 = y \\  \\ 4 {y}^{2}  - 21y - 25 \\  \\  =  > 4 {y}^{2}   + 4y  - 25y - 25 \\  \\  =  > 4y(y + 1) - 25(y + 1) \\  \\  =  > (4y - 25)(y + 1) \\  \\ put \: y = x - 2 \\  \\  =  > (4(x - 2) - 25)(x - 2 + 1) \\  \\  =  > (4x - 33)(x - 1) \\  \\

Given :  4(x - 2)²  - 21(x - 2)  - 25

To find : Factorize

Solution:

4(x - 2)²  - 21(x - 2)  - 25

= 4(x - 2)²  + 4(x - 2) - 25(x - 2) - 25

= 4(x - 2)(x - 2 + 1) - 25(x - 2 + 1)

= ( 4x - 8 - 25)(x - 1)

= (4x - 33)(x - 1)

Another way

4(x - 2)²  - 21(x - 2)  - 25

= 4(x²  - 4x + 4) - 21x + 42 - 25

= 4x² - 16x + 16 - 21x + 17

= 4x² - 37x  + 33

= 4x² - 4x - 33x + 33

= 4x(x - 1) - 33(x - 1)

= (4x - 33)(x - 1)

4(x - 2)²  - 21(x - 2)  - 25 = (4x - 33)(x - 1)
