Factorise:-By hit & trial method

 {y}^{3}  - 7y + 6

In hit & trial method we put different values to find out the solution.

Now let's solve:-

 {y}^{3}  - 7y + 6

 {y}^{3}  - 7y =  - 6

put y=0

 {0}^{3}  - 7(0) =  - 6

0≠ - 6

Therefore , y=0 is not a solution

now put y=1

 {1}^{3}  - 7(1) =  - 6

 - 6 =  - 6

Therefore,y=1 is the solution ..
