Now let's solve:-

${y}^{3} - 7y + 6$

${y}^{3} - 7y = - 6$

put y=0

${0}^{3} - 7(0) = - 6$

$0≠ - 6$

Therefore , y=0 is not a solution

now put y=1

${1}^{3} - 7(1) = - 6$

$- 6 = - 6$

Therefore,y=1 is the solution ..
