Solution:

i) 25(2x-y)²-16(x-2y)²

=[5(2x-y)]²-[4(x-2y)]²

= (10x-5y)²-(4x-8y)²

=[(10x-5y)+(4x-8y)][(10x-5y)-(4x-8y)]

= (14x-13y)(6x+3y)

ii ) ab(x²+y²)-xy(a²+b²)

= abx²+aby²-a²xy-b²xy

= abx²-a²xy + aby²-b²xy

= ax(bx-ay)+by(ay-bx)

= ax(bx-ay)-by(bx-ay)

= (bx-ay)(ax-by)

Answer

Step-by-step explanation:

25(2x-y)^2-16(x-2y)^2

=25[ (2x)^2 +y^2-2*2x*y] -16[x^2 +(2y)^2 -2*x*2y]

=25(4x^2 + y^2 - 4xy) - 16 ( x^2 + 4y^2 - 4xy)

= (100x^2 + 25y^2 -100xy) - 16x^2 - 64y^2 + 64xy)

=84x^2 - 39y^2 - 36xy
