3m^2 + 24m +36=0
3(m^2+8m+12)=0
3(m^2+6m+2m+12)=0
3(m(m+6)+2(m+6))=0
3(m+2)(m+6)=0
3m+6+3m+18=0
6m+24=0
6m=-24
m= -24/6
m= -4

Here is your solution :

= 3m² + 24m + 36

Taking 3 as common,

= 3( m² + 8m + 12 )

Splitting middle term,

= 3( m² + 6m + 2m + 12 )

= 3[ m( m + 6 ) + 2( m + 6 ) ]

= 3[ ( m + 6 ) ( m + 2 ) ]

= 3( m + 6 ) ( m + 2 )

Fact to know : When you are going to split the middle term , its sum should be equal to middle term and product should be equal to Product of first term and last term.
