Factorise 3x² - 2√6x + 2

\\

For factorising the given Quadratic polynomial, we need to find 2 numbers such that

  • Their product is 3 × 2 = 6
  • Their sum is 2√6

\\

Those 2 numbers are: -√6 and -√6

\\

Now, on factorising;

3x² - √6x - √6x + 2 = 0

\\

Taking out √3 as a common factor,

→ √3x(√3x - 2) - √2x(√3x - 2) = 0

→ (√3x - √2) (√3x - √2) = 0

\\

So,

√3x - √2 = 0

➝ √3x = √2

➝ x = √2/√3

 \therefore \boxed{x =   \sqrt{ \dfrac{2}{3} } }
