 {x}^{2}  + 9x + 20 \\  =  {x}^{2}  + 5x + 4x + 20 \\  = x(x + 5)  + 4(x + 5) \\  = (x + 5)(x + 4)

factories the following : x²+9x+20 .

\huge\red{\mid{\underline{\overline{\textbf{Solution\:࿐}}}\mid}}

x {}^{2}  + 9x + 20

by making suitable factors of 20' we get =2×2×5

.'. 4+5=9 . here 9 is the middle term , which we have to make.

so'!

 x {}^{2}  + 4x + 5x + 20

by Taking common'~

x(x + 5) + 4(x + 5)

(x + 4)(x + 5) = 0

.'.

x + 4 = 0 \:  \: \:  \: and \:  x + 5 = 0

keeping both the tems equal to zero.

we get :

x =  - 4 \:  \: and \: x =  - 5
