Answer:

 {x}^{2}  - 3x - 1  = 0

 =>{x}^{2}-3x-1-{(\frac{3}{2}) }^{2}+{( \frac{3}{2}) }^{2}=0

=>{x}^{2}-2\times\frac{3}{2} x+(\frac{3}{2})^{2}-1- {(\frac{3}{2})}^{2}=0

=>{x}^{2}-2\times (\frac{3}{2})^{2}x+{(\frac{3}{2}) }^{2}= {(\frac{3}{2})}^{2}+1

 =  >  {(x -  \frac{3}{2} )}^{2}  = \frac{9}{4} +1

 =  >  \sqrt{ {(x -  \frac{3}{2}) }^{2} }   =   \sqrt \frac{9 + 4}{4}

 =  > x -  \frac{3}{2}  =   \sqrt \frac{13}{4}

 => x=\sqrt{\frac{13}{4}}+\frac{3}{2}=\sqrt{ \frac{13}{4} }+ \sqrt{ \frac{9}{4}}

 =  > x =  \sqrt{ \frac{13+9}{4} }  =  \sqrt{ \frac{22}{4} }  =  \sqrt{ \frac{11}{2}}

hence \: x =  +  \sqrt{ \frac{11}{2} }  \: and \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: x =  - \sqrt{ \frac{11}{2} }
