3x² + √3x - 2

________ [GIVEN EQUATION]

• We have to find the factors of it.

_______________________________

3x² + √3x - 2

The above equation is in the form ax² + bx + c.

So.. we have to find the the numbers whose sum is b (√3) and product is c (-6).

3x² + 2√3x - √3x - 2

Sum of (2√3) and (- √3 ) is

2√3 + (- √3) = 2√3 - 1√3 = √3 (2 - 1) = √3

And product of (2√3) and (- √3) is

2√3 × (- √3) = 2 (-3) = - 6

______________________________

=> 3x² + 2√3x - √3x - 2

=> √3x √3x + 2√3x - √3x - 2

=> √3x (√3x + 2) - 1 (√3x + 2)

=> (√3x - 1) (√3x + 2)

______________________________

(√3x - 1) and (√3 + 2) are the factors of 3x² + √3x - 2
