4√3 x² + 5x - 2√3

On splitting the middle term.

⇒4√3 x² + 8x - 3x - 2√3 = 0

⇒4x ( √3x + 2 ) - √3 ( √3x + 2 ) = 0

⇒( √3x + 2 ) ( 4x - √3 ) = 0

⇒ (√3 x + 2 ) = 0 and ( 4x - √3 ) = 0

⇒x = -2 / √3 and x = √3 / 4

Question 2 ;

7√2 x² - 10x - 4√2

On splitting the middle term.

⇒7√2 x² - 14x + 4x - 4√2 = 0

⇒7√2 x ( x - √2 ) + 4 ( x - √2 ) = 0

⇒( x - √2 ) ( 7√2x + 4 ) = 0

⇒( x - √2 ) = 0 and ( 7√2x + 4 ) = 0

⇒x = √2 and x = - 4 / 7√2
