Answer:

1) 9m^2+24m+ 16

= (3m)^2 + 2(3m)(4)+( 4)^2

According to Indentity (a+b)^2= a^2+2ab+b^2,

(3m + 4)^2

2) 49a^2-84ab+36

= (7a)²-2(7a)(6)+(6)²

According to identity (a-b)²= a²-2ab+b²,

(7a-6)²

33

I) x²+13x+40

= x²+8x+5x+40. (BY SPLITTING THE MIDDLE TERM)

= x(x+8) + 5(x+8)

= (x+8)(x+5)

ii) y²-11y-42

= y²-6y-7y-42

= y(y-6)-7(y-6)

=(y-6)(y-7)
