Answer:

Given

100 - (a - 4) {}^{2}  \\  = (10) {}^{2} - (a - 4) {}^{2}

We know

x {}^{2}  - y {}^{2}  = (x + y)(x - y)

In the given equation

x = 10 \:  \:  \:  \: and \:  \:  \:  \: y = (a - 4)

So Now

(10) {}^{2}  - (a - 4) {}^{2}  \\  = (10 + (a - 4))(10 - (a - 4)) \\  = (10 + a - 4)(10 - a + 4) \\  = (6 + a)(14 - a)

I hope it will help you.
