Answer:

12(x-2y)^2 - (x-2y) - 35

Let (x-2y) = a

Therefore,

12a^2 - a - 35

= 12a^2 - (21a - 20a) - 35

= 12a^2 - 21a + 20a - 35

= 3a(4a - 7) + 5(4a - 7)

= (4a - 7) (3a + 5)

put (a = x-2y)

= {4(x-2y)-7} {3(x-2y)+5}

= (4x - 8y - 7) (3x - 6y + 5)

Answer :- (4x - 8y - 7) (3x - 6y + 5)

Rough portion,

Note :- First,

35×12 = 420

second,

prime factors of 420 = 2×2×3×5×7×1

Third,

(3×7×1) - (2×2×5)

= 21 - 20

= 1
