given equation : -6x²+x+12.

                 x = -b±√[b² - 4ac] /2a

            putting the values,we get

            x =  -1 ±√[1 - 4×-6×12]/2×-6.   {√289 = 17}.

              = -1 ±√289/-12      

              = -1 -17 / -12     * = -1+17/-12

               = -18 /-12           = 16/-12

               = 3/2.                = -4/3
