Here is the answer;

12x^3+4x^2-3x-1

=12x^3-3x+4x^2-1

=3x(4x^2-1)+4x^2-1

=(4x^2-1)(3+1)

=(2x+1)(2x-1)4

=4(2x+1)(2x-1)

basudev88: But there is a little mistake. On the fourth step there should be (3x+1).I hope you understood it.

Answer

(x-2) and (X+4)(X+5) are two factors of.........

after that factorise (x² + 9x + 20) by middle term split

  • then after you get answer (X+4)(X+5)
  • first factor we get = ( x-2 )
  • and second = (X+4)(X+5)

Therefore, two factors are ( x-2 ) and (X+4)(X+5)

Hope that this Will help you
