Factorise : 12x2 – 18xy – 10xy + 15 y2
1. (6x - 5y) (2x - 3y)
2. (6x – 3y) (2x - 5y)
3. (2x + 5y) (6x + 5y)

Answer :

  • 12x² - 18xy - 10xy + 15y² = (6x - 5y) (2x - 3y)

Given :

  • 12x² - 18xy - 10xy + 15y²

To find :

  • Factorise

Solution :

⇢ 12x² - 18xy - 10xy + 15y²

⇢ (((12 × (x²)) - 18xy) - 10xy) + (3 × 5y²)

⇢ (((2² × 3x²) - 18xy) - 10xy) + (3 × 5y²)

Now, we have to do factor multi - variable trinomial using trail and error we get

⇢ (6x - 5y) (2x - 3y)

Hence , 12x² - 18xy - 10xy + 15y² = (6x - 5y) (2x - 3y)
