Let's do it by prefect square methods

so

$(4x)^{2} - 2 \times 4x \times 3 + {3}^{2} - {3}^{2} - 1 = 0$

To satisfy the above eq we add and subtract 3^2

And to satisfy 24x i split it so that i can be formed the (a+b)^2 formula

$(4x - 3)^{2} - 9 - 1 = 0$

$(4x - 3)^{2} = 10$

$4x - 3 = \sqrt{10}$

$4x = \frac{ + }{ } \sqrt{ 10} + 3$

$x = \frac{ \frac{ + }{} \sqrt{10} + 3}{4}$
