2p³-13p²+6p+45 = q(p)

factors of 45=1,3,5,9,15,45

hit and trial method

let p=3

2(3)³-13(3)²+6(3)+45=0

54-117+24+45=0

117-117=0

3 is a root/zero

(p-3) is a factor

divide q(p) by (p-3)

on dividing, we get  2p²-7p-15 as the quotient

factorizing the quotient

2p²-7p-15=0

2p²-10p+3p-15=0

2p(p-5)+3(p-5)=0

(2p+3)(p-5)=0

2p+3=0 and p-5=0

p= -3/2   and p=5

zeroes are 3,5, -3/2
