2 {x}^{2}  - x +  \frac{1}{8 }  \\  = 2 {x}^{2}  -  \frac{1}{2} x -  \frac{1}{2} x +  \frac{1}{8}  \\  = x(2x -  \frac{1}{2} ) -  \frac{1}{4} (2x -  \frac{1}{2} ) \\  = (2x -  \frac{1}{2} )(x -  \frac{1}{4} )
