Answer:

4x²+9-6x = 49

then

4x²-6x-40

2x²-3x-20

2x²-8x+5x-20

2x(x-4)+5(x-4)

(2x+5)(x-4)

hence x = -5/2 , 4

hope it helpes.......

Step-by-step explanation:

(2x - 3)^2 = 49

=> (2x) ^2 - 2 * 2x * 3 + (3)^2 = 49

=> 4x^2 - 12x + 9 = 49

=> 4x^2 - 12x + 9 - 49 = 0

=> 4x^2 - 12x - 40 = 0

=> 4 (x^2 - 3x - 10) = 0

=> x^2 - 3x - 10 = 0

=> x^2 - (5-2) x - 10 = 0

=> x^2 - 5x + 2x - 10 = 0

=> x(x-5) + 2(x-5) = 0

=> (x-5) (x+2) = 0

either X = 5

or X = -2

hope it helps
