Answer:

p(x)= 2x^3 - x^2 - 13x - 6

p(-2)= 2(-2)^3 -(-2)^2- 13(-2)-6

= -16-4+26-6

= -26+26

= 0

Therefore x+2 is a factor of p(x)

p(x) = (x+2) (2x^2 -6x + x-3)

= (x+2) (2x +1) (x-3)

Hope this will help you

2x^{3} - x^{2} + 13x - 6

=

(x + 2)(x - 3)(2x + 1)
