6x+9y+6x-9y

6x+6x+9y-9y(this step is optional)

12x

explanation: follow the rules of BODMAS

Since the numbers inside the brackets are not of the same variables therefore we remove them out from the bracket.

3 of the first term multiplies the numbers inside the bracket which equals to 6x+9y

another 3 of another term multiplies the numbers in the bracket which equals to 6x-9y.

Since before the 2nd bracket there is sign + so the signs inside the bracket didn't change.

You can either arrange them in order first or you can directly write the answers (in the 4th step)

6x+6x=12x,9y-9y=0(- , -= +)(+ ,+ =+) (- , + = -) (+ , - =-)

and the answer is 12x
