Hello...

Sol:
Let f(x) = 2x^4 + x^3 - 14x^2 - 19x – 6

f(-1) = 2(-1)^4 + (-1)^3 - 14(-1)^2 - 19(-1)  - 6

     = 2 - 1 - 14 + 19 - 6

     = 0

-1 is the zero of the polynomial and (x + 1) is the factor.

f(-2) = 2(-2)4 + (-2)3 - 14(-2)2 - 19(-2)  - 6

     = 32 - 8 - 56 + 38 - 6

     = 0

-2 is the zero of the polynomial and (x + 2) is the factor.
