Answer:

2x^3 + 5x^2 + X - 2

let X be -1

p(X)= 2(-1)^3 + 5(-1)^2 + (-1) -2

(-2)+5-1-2

-5+5=0

X= -1

X+1=0

Now divide p(X) by X+1

quotient,q(X) = 2x^2 + 3x -2

Now use middle term splitting

2x^2 + 3x - 2

2x^2 + 4x - x - 2

2x(x + 2) -1(x + 2)

(2x-1)(x+2)

Factors are : (x+1)(2x-1)(x+2)

Hope it is helpful for you
