2 {x}^{2}  - 2x +  \frac{1}{2}  \\  \\  = 2 {x}^{2}  - x - x +  \frac{1}{2}  \\  \\  = 2x(x -  \frac{1}{2} ) - 1(x -  \frac{1}{2}) \\  \\ (2x - 1)(x -  \frac{1}{2} ) \\  \\

so the factors of given equation is as per above..
