Factorise 2x square + 9 x - 5

2 {x }^{2}  + 9x  - 5 =0  \\  = 2 {x}^{2 }  + 10x - x - 5 = 0 \\  = 2x(x + 5) - 1(x + 5) = 0 \\  = (x + 5)(2x - 1) = 0 \\ x =  - 5 \: and \:  \frac{1}{2}

Using middle term splitting :

=> 2x² + 10x - 1x - 5
