Step-by-step explanation:

In middle term spilliting method , we had to multiply first and last term . Then we had to find two such a number which can sum up to get middle term and also it's product is equal to product first and last term .

Here , product of first and last term = -2 x 9 = -18

Therefore , two number whose sum is middle term , i.e ,3 and product is product of first and last term is -18 are '-6 and 3'.

Solution :

-2x²+3x+9

= -2x² - 3x + 6x +9

= Taking common -2x from first two terms and 3 from last two numbers , we get :

= -x(2x+3) + 3(2x+3)

Thereafter, taking (x+3) common as a whole , we get:

(-x+3)(2x + 3)

Also it can be written as :

(2x+3)(3-x)
