2x³-4x²-2x + 4

by rearranging,

2x³-2x+4-4x²

2x(x²-1)+4(1-x²)

2x(x²-1)-4(-1+x²)

= 2x(x²-1)-4(x²-1)

= (2x-4)(x²-1)

by applying a²-b² = (a+b)(a-b), x²-1² = (x-1)(x+1)

as 1²= 1

(2x-4)(x-1)(x+1)

2(x-2)(x-1)(x+1)

hope it helps

have a great day
