2x³-4x²+5x-3

If x is taken as 1

2(1)³ - 4(1)² + 5(1) - 3 =

2 - 4 + 5 - 3 =

2 + 5 - 4 - 3 =

7 - 7 =0

2x³-4x²+5x-3 = 2x² - 2x + 3

       x-1

2x³-4x²+5x-3 =

(x-1)(2x² - 2x + 3)

You can factorize 2x² - 2x + 3 by splitting the middle term method.
