factorise: 2xsquare+9x - 4.​

Answer :

(2x - 1)(x - 4)

Explanation :

Find two values that add to give - 9 and multiply to give 2 × 4 = 8

These values are -1 and - 8 .

Split the X's .

 {2x}^{2}  - 8x - x + 4

Factorise each half .

2x(x - 4) - 1(x - 4)

(2x - 1)(x - 4)
