Hola!

Here is your answer in the attachment.

Y=-1/2, -1

Steps: We've to find two numbers which give 2 as the answer when multiplied and give 3 as the answer when added together.

So, just find the L.CM. of 2 and 1.

And you'll get 2 and 1 only, so, those are the two required numbers.

2y^2+3y+1=2y^2+2y+y+1

=2y(y+1)+1(y+1)

=(2y+1)(y+1)=0

y=-1/2;-1
