Hi,

Problem: 3 - 12(a - b)^2

*** take 3 Common **

= 3[1 - 4(a - b)^2]

= 3[(1)^2 - {2(a - b)}^2]

= 3[(1)^2 - (2a - 2b)^2]

= 3[(1 + 2a - 2b)(1 - 2a + 2b)] <==ANSWER

Since, a^2 - b^2 =(a +b)(a - b)

Hope i helped u :).
