I hope your question is :

3x² - 4x - 4

Answer :

3x² - 4x - 4

Sum = -4 ,Product = -4

So numbers are -6 & 2

= 3x² - 6x + 2x - 4

= 3x ( x - 2 ) + 2 ( x - 2 )

= ( 3x + 2 ) ( x - 2 )
