$3 {a}^{3} - 3 + 4a$

$3( {a}^{3} - {1}^{3} ) + 4a$

$3(a - 1)( {a}^{2} + 1 + a) + 4a$

Here we use this formula:-

${a}^{3} - {b}^{3} = (a - b)( {a}^{2} + {b}^{2} + ab)$
