factorise 3x² + 8√2x - 6

3x² + 8√2x - 6

=3x²+9√2x-√2x-6

=3x(x+3√2)-√2(x+3√2)

=(3x-√2)(x+3√2)

so, 3x-√2 and x+3√2 are the required factors.
