so why taking x is equal to 3

PX is equal to 3 x cube minus 3 x square - 42 X + 72

taking value of x is equal to 3

3*(3)3 - 3*(3)2 -42*3 +72=0

3*27 - 3*9 - 126 +72=0

81-27-126+72=0

-72+72=0
