4a² + 3b² +12c² - 4√3 ab - 12 bc + 8 √3 ac

= (2a)² +(-√3b)² + (2√3c)² + 2 × 2a × (-√3)b + 2 × (-√3)b × (2√3)c + 2 × 2√3 c × 2a

Using Identity :

Using Identity : (a+b+c)² = a² + b² + c² + 2ab + 2bc + 2ca

= (2a -√3b + 2√3c)²

How we get that b term contains negative sign ?

We will se the terms that have negative signs in the expanded form . Here , -4√3 ab and -12bc have negative signs . The common in these term is b , so in the factorised form , b will have a negative sign .
