factorise 6(a+2b)-4(a+2b)^2

6(a + 2b) - 4( a+ 2b)^{2}  \\  = {(a + 2b)(6 - 4a - 8b)} \\  = 2(a + 2b)(3 - 2a - 4b)

=6( a+2 b) -4(a+2b)^2
=6 a+12 b-4 a-8 b÷2
=2 a+4 b÷2
=2( a+2b)÷2
= a+2 b
