Given:

6 x² + 5 x - 6 = 0

Split 5 x into 9 x - 4 x

==> 6 x² + 9 x - 4 x - 6 = 0

Taking common:

==> 3 x ( 2 x + 3 ) - 2 ( 2 x + 3 ) = 0

==> ( 2 x + 3 ) ( 3 x - 2) = 0

Either 2 x + 3 = 0

==> 2 x = - 3

==> x = - 3 / 2

or ,

3 x - 2 = 0

==> 3 x = 2

==> x = 2 / 3

The value of x can be - 3 / 2 or 2 / 3

Hope it helps you
