Dividing the given polynomial by x-1, 6x^2 +16x + 8 is the binomial. Looking at this, the product of roots is 48 and Sum is 16. So using 12 and 4, we get

6x^2 + 12x + 4x +8 which is

6x(x+2)+ 4(x+2) which is

(x+2)(6x+4).

Thus we get the 3 factors, (x-1), (x+2) and (6x+4).
