Factorization

Answer: on factorization we get 4 (2x-y) ( 4x - 2y - 1).

Explanation:

Need to factorize following expression

8(2x-y)² - 8x+4y

=> 8(2x-y) (2x - y) - 4 ( 2x - y)

=> 2 × 4 (2x-y) (2x - y) - 4 ( 2x - y)

Now we have two terms 2 × 4 (2x-y) (2x - y) and 4 ( 2x - y) and highest common factor of two terms is 4( 2x - y). So on taking out common factors we get

=> 4 (2x-y) ( 2 (2x -y) -1)

=> 4 (2x-y) ( 4x - 2y - 1)

Hence on factorization we get 4 (2x-y) ( 4x - 2y - 1).
