solution

8 + 6 (a+b) - 5 (a+b) ²

first let (a+b) be x

now,

8 +6x-5x² =0

changing the sign on both of the sides will get,

5x² - 6x -8=0

LCM of 5 and 8 is 40

now find two numbers on multiply it will become 40 and on subtracting it will become 6

5x² - (10 -4)x -8=0

5x(x-2 ) + 4( x-2 )=0

(x-2 ) ( 5x +4 ) =0

now put x =a + b

(a+b -2 ) (5(a+b ) +4 ) =0

(a +b -2 ) ( 5a + 5b +4 ) =0
