Factorise :8a^3 - b^3
(8a to the power of 3 - b to the power of 3)

8a³ - b³

(2a)³ - (b)³

Using identity ;

x³ - y³ = (x - y)(x² + y² + xy)

Therefore,

(2a - b){(2a)² + b² + 2a × b}

=> (2a - b)(4a² + 2ab + b²)
