9(x-2y)sq -4(x-2y)-13=0

Let x-2y= p

ie 9p sq -4p-13=0

9p sq - 13p +9p -13=0

p(9p-13)+1(9p-13)=0

(p+1)(9p-13)=0

ie p=-1

x-2y=-1 eq1)

p=13/9

x-2y=13/9

9x-18y=13 eq2)

now by solving eq 1)&2) we get value of x & y
....hope it helps
