Question:

Factorise the following equation : xy^8-yx^8

Answer:

xy(y-x)(y+x)(y^2+x^2)(y^4+x^4)

Explanation:

So over you can see that Y and x is common in xy^8-yx^8.Let us take Y outside.

xy(x^9-y^9)

xy[(y^4)^2-(x^4)^2]

You can see that it is there in formula of [(a^2-b^2)=(a+b)(a-b)]

So Now by using the formula you will get

xy(y^4-x^4)(y^4+x^4)

Again you can make into the formula that is [(a^2-b^2)=(a+b)(a-b)]

xy[(y^2)^2-(x^2)^2](y^4-x^4)

xy(y^2-x^2)(y^2+x^2)(y^2+x^2)

xy(y-x)(y+x)(y^2+x^2)(y^4+x^4)

Hence the final equation or answer is xy(y-x)(y+x)(y^2+x^2)(y^4+x^4).
