GIVEN,

a4−b4=(a2)2−(b2)2=(a2+b2)(a2−b2)(∵x2−y2=(x+y)(x−y))=(a2+b2)(a+b)(a−b)

a⁴ - b⁴ = {(a²+b²)(a+b)}(a-b) = {a³ + ab(a+b)+ b³}(a-b); two factors.
