\huge\bold{【HELLO】}

let y = a²–2a

then you have

y² – 23y + 120 = 0

factor

(y – 15)(y – 8) = 0

y = 15, 8

first one

a²–2a = 8

a² – 2a – 8 = 0

(a – 4)(a + 2) = 0

a = 4, –2

second one

a² – 2a – 15 = 0

a = 5, – 3

edit: woops, I somehow saw an =0, so the above is not correct.

but you can work backwards to the factors

(a – 4)(a + 2)(a – 5)(a + 3)
