Factorise- (a³-b³+1+3ab).

Solution:

➨ a³ - b³ + 1 + 3ab

➨ a³ + (-b)³ + (1)³ - 3 × a × (-b) × 1

➨ x³ + y³ + z³ - 3xyz

where a = X , (-b) = y and 1 = z

➨ (x + y + z) (x² + y² + z² - xy - yz - zx )

➨ (a -b+1) (a² + b² + 1 + ab + b - a)

➨(a - b+1) (a² + b² + ab - a + b +1)

Extra Dose:

  • ( a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab
  • (a-b)² = a² + b² - 2ab
  • ( a -b )³ = a³ - b³ - 3ab (a-b)
  • (a+b)³ = a³ + b³ + 3ab (a + b)

Thanks
