 =  &gt; ab {}^{2}  + (a - 1)(b - 1) \\  \\  =  &gt; ab {}^{2}  + ab - b </u></em></strong><strong><em><u>+</u></em></strong><strong><em><u>1 \\  \\  =  &gt; ab(b + 1) - 1(b  + 1) \\  \\  =  &gt; (b + 1) \: (ab - 1)
