On factoring ab²- ac² we will get a (b-c) (b+c)

Given:

ab²- ac²

To find:

Factorise ab²- ac²

Solution:

Given ab²- ac²

Take a common

⇒ a (b² - c²)

From algebraic identities,

             (a² - b²) = (a + b) (a - b)

Take a = b and b = c and apply above formula

(b² - c²) = (b - c) (b + c)

⇒ a (b² - c²) = a [ (b - c) (b + c)]

= a (b-c) (b+c)

Therefore,

On factoring ab²- ac² we will get [ a(b-c) (b+c) ]
