p(x)=x^3-4x^2+x+6

if p(3)=0 then x-3is the factor of p(x).

x-3)x^3-4x^2+x+6(x^2-x-2

x^3-3x^2

- +

-x^2+x+6

-x^2+3x

+ -

-2x+6

-2x+6

+ -

0

for other two zeroes,

x^2-x-2=x^2-2x+x-2=x(x-2)+1(x-2)=(x+1)(x-2)
